Welding and Cutting Safety

Hot work is a high risk operation that requires specialized controls to reduce risk and protect your people and property.

Our classes are customized to the type of hot work you conduct and where it is conducted.

Having a permit to conduct hot work is the tip of the iceberg as far as this OSHA Standard goes. Many other Standards run “horizontal” through this Standard. How about specialized PPE, respirator protection (required with specific metals), GHS requirements, ventilation, confined space considerations, compressed gas safety, and fire extinguisher training.

Did you realize that fire extinguisher training is required every year for those individuals expected to operate such? CTTCI will conduct the classroom portion and the live fire training exercise to keep your fire watch sharp and your program in compliance.

Hot work is also controlled by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes. How about controls for tar kettles, or application of membrane roofing. These codes formulate the basics of a complete Hot Work Safety Program that CTTCI can apply for you.
